Global Marketing Manager for the strategic label business unit of UPM Raflatac
Fernando Girón is an experienced marketing manager in the self-adhesive label industry and its use for packaging decoration, he has led dozens of pioneering global product launches throughout his career. As a Global Film Label Marketing Manager, Fernando has had the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with product managers, research and development teams and brand owners around the world.
Fernando specializes in ideation and design of tools with emerging technologies to facilitate the understanding of the use of self-adhesive labels in packaging design and decoration processes. More recently, Fernando and his team worked together with the University of Clemson, South Carolina, United States, to develop a virtual store with personal and home care products, which allows to appreciate the visual impact of different types of self-adhesive labels in different containers. In addition, Fernando works closely with the sustainability experts at UPM Raflatac to help drive the most sustainable self-adhesive solutions.
Fernando holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois, United States, and a degree in computer engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain.
